A high-quality print of an original abstract acrylic study, part of my Sublime Horizon collection. Pale blue and white sweep in from the left in soft, layered curves, meeting a bold field of vivid orange on the right, with fine threads of black ink-like brushstrokes running through the centre, one of the most fluid, painterly designs in the collection.
Why This Design
Like every postcard in The Sublime Horizon collection, this design began as an experiment with wet-on-wet acrylic paint, inspired by a distant thunderstorm I watched roll across the horizon from my garden. From a place of safety, the storm turned the sky into a luminous expanse of orange, immense natural power becoming unexpectedly serene. This postcard sits right at that boundary, the soft, pale sky pressing up against the storm's full colour, the two meeting almost gently rather than in conflict.
