This is an original abstract acrylic painting, hand-painted in my home studio here in Rugby, Warwickshire. Soft washes of pale blue and cream wrap around denser passages of navy, charcoal and burnt orange, the forms overlapping and spilling into one another across the canvas; busy, layered, and quietly alive with movement.

The Story

Everything, All At Once is part of The Sublime Horizon, a collection inspired by the fleeting beauty of a distant thunderstorm I watched roll across the horizon from my garden. From a place of safety, the storm transformed the sky into a luminous expanse of orange, immense natural power becoming unexpectedly serene. This piece captures that sense of a sky holding everything simultaneously: light and shadow, stillness and motion, colour pressing in from every direction at once. Painted with bold colour, expressive brushwork and richly textured impasto, it explores the paradox at the heart of the sublime: the coexistence of awe and tranquillity, chaos and beauty.
